Privacy Policy
Your privacy is always protected by my professional ethics and by HIPAA privacy laws.
Please check with your insurance carrier to find out if you have out-of-network coverage for your psychotherapy. If you do, I am able to help you navigate through the often-confusing maze of insurance. I can submit your forms to the insurance company for you if you prefer. Fees for my services may be covered in full or in part by your insurance plan. I can help you determine the coverage available.
If you are using an HMO, your insurance company requires that a mental health diagnosis be given and that clinical information about your therapy or treatment be sent to them; they “manage” your care and reserve the right to limit the number or frequency of your sessions. Some people therefore elect to pay for their psychotherapy out of pocket as a way to maintain a greater level of privacy about their therapy and to retain decision-making about their care as a matter between themselves and their therapist.
Please feel free to discuss with me any questions about the privacy of your treatment. If you would like to talk with me, please contact me. I check both phone messages and email frequently during the course of each day, and will return your call or email as promptly as possible. All calls and emails are returned within one business day.
